Luis Antonio Morales

Luis Antonio Morales, affectionately known as Lou or Louie, of Far Rockaway, Queens died unexpectedly at home on June 19, 2024. Born in Jamaica, Queens, he was the son of the late Pedro and Sara Morales.

Lou worked for many years at the New York City Children's Center (NYCCC) Queens Campus as a Pharmacy Technician. Outside of work, Lou enjoyed watching the Yankees and his favorite TV shows. He also enjoyed going to the movies and engaging in online bible studies and religious discussions.

Lou will be remembered most for being a great support to his parents. Always helping with their general needs and serving as the "in-house handyman". This was especially true in recent years when he acted as caregiver to his mother as she battled dementia. To his brothers he would always lend a helping hand. To his younger brothers, nieces and nephews he was a source of companionship, guidance, and protection. In looking back, we will always remember his laugh, ping pong games, playing catch, and the love he showed us whenever we were in need.

He is survived by his brothers Pedro, Jose, Carlos, and David. Sister-in-laws, Geraldine, Nicole, and JoAnn. Niece and nephews Melissa, Jean Carlos, Pedro, Angela, great nephew Xavier; and many cousins and friends.

Family, friends, and others are invited to the Meserole Five Towns Funeral Home, 143 Lord Ave, Inwood, NY 11096, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm on 25 June 2024, to reminisce about and honor the life of Luis Morales. Funeral services will be held at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 1920 New Haven Ave, Far Rockaway, NY 11691 on 26 June 2024 at 10:00am followed by internment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
