Margaret O'Marra

Margaret M. (Fay) O'Marra of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, died peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Marge was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 22, 1933 and moved to Point Pleasant with her husband, Robert O'Marra (Bob) , in 1959. A resident of Point Pleasant for over 50 years, she was a devout Catholic and a long time parishioner of St. Martha's Parish in Point Pleasant. Her commitment to her family and her community was evident to everyone who knew her. Marge was a tireless advocate for people in need of a voice and a comforting haven for people in need of peace. She is the revered and loving mother of four children, seven grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She will be remembered for her immense love for her family, her faithful service and for her devotion to her faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling coastal New England, especially Maine. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob), her son Brendan and her sister, Mary. She is survived by her daughters, Geralyn O'Marra (David Pryal) of MD and Kerry Kingland of NY and her son Robert (Bobby) O'Marra. Grandchildren include Declan, Maryah (Giazzi Segarra), Jaden, Devan, Marra, Deirdre, Rory and her newest joy, great grand-daughter, Harper. There will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 11 AM, November 26, 2018 at St. Martha's Catholic Church, Point Pleasant, NJ followed by burial at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall.
